Welcome to Graveyard Picnic 2.0! As you may or may not have noticed, my blog has gotten a major update. Please let me know what you think of the new look and whether you have any comments and/or suggestions. Last time I asked you guys what you wanted to see me post about and the answer was a resounding ‘outfit posts’. Having just purchased a remote for my camera, I took out to the real world and spent a few hours goofing around, or at least until I had to run home to save my equipment from a sudden thunderstorm.

In order to not make my trial run too difficult, I decided on a fairly simple outfit that I’d wear on a day off. Comfort is pretty high on my list of priorities when shooping for clothes which is why this dress is one of my favourite new pieces; it’s long and flowy, has fingerholes and a hood, and fits so very comfortably. It also makes me feel like an elf from Lord of the Rings, albeit a very short and slightly chubby one. (Who am I kidding, we all know that I’m a hobbit)

Feel free to leave some constructive criticism on my first attempt at shooting with a remote shutter release, I’m still trying to get the hang of this so any advice is welcome. To my fellow fashion photography enthusiasts: do you prefer working with a photographer or to be completely in control?
